I take a Chinese class and I just love the Chinese language. It is just so interesting! I'm one of the best in my class, not to brag, and I love that class! Has got to be one of my favourite classes all day!
Anyway, I took a swing at the characters (I'm not the best writer for characters) so if I'm wrong, let me know. My teacher didn't correct me, so I think I'm good.
She says: "Ah, China is very beautiful." "啊,中国是很漂亮." "A, zhongguo shi hen piaoliang."
(Faves and recommends) Great job! I know from being over there for a summer of study abroad that China is definitely a country that loves its Disney, which is why they've got a park in Hong Kong and are also getting a mainland park in Shanghai.
Definitely. I was with an NC State team that went to Zhejiang University (now one of our sister schools) in 2008 - so just months before the Olympics. We actually saw the Torch Relay as it passed through Hangzhou.
Sure, I can talk about it! Not that many cons that I can think of other than you should know some Mandarin before going. Pros...Hmm...well, off the top of my head, there was the food, the Great Wall, getting to visit the Olympic Park (including the Water Cube and the Bird's Nest) and also getting a darn good learning experience that helped me get into the College Program.
